Fairmont Man Charged With Malicious Wounding After Beating His Wife

The Marion County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man on a malicious wounding charge.  James Bowers, 45, is accused of kicking and punching his wife breaking her sternum and rib.  Bowers' wife is currently on hospice care for a terminal illness; her injuries were confirmed by the treating medical staff. Bowers is currently in the North Central Regional Jail. His bail was set at $50,000.
