State police are currently on scene of a multiple vehicle accident on I-79 northbound. According to 911 officials, it happened shortly after 11 p.m. on I-79 northbound near mile marker 130.  Officials say five vehicles are involved. Emergency crews responded to a head on collision on I-79 late Thursday evening.  According to 911 dispatchers, the collision happened shortly after 11 p.m.  A vehicle was traveling southbound on I-79 near mile marker 142 when it collided with a vehicle heading north in the southbound lane. Clarksburg Fire Crews Battle Abandoned House Fire

Emergency crews responded to a structure fire in the Glen Elk section of Clarksburg late Wednesday evening. According to the Clarksburg Fire Department, the fire started just before 10 p.m. on 210 Byrd Lane. When crews arrived on the scene the front of the house was fully involved.  The house was abandoned but the electricity was still on, according to firefighters.  The house is considered a total loss. No word on what started the fire.
