Morgantown Police have arrested a man following a report of malicious wounding on Chestnut Street early Sunday morning.Police arrived at 444 Chestnut Street and found a man, an employee of Fat Daddy's bar, had been struck in the face with a beer bottle or glass object.
The Philippi Police Department is investigating a crash that happened at approximately 7 a.m. Monday.A man traveling south on Main Street left the road and hit Fox's Pizza near Route 250, said police. The man suffered from unknown injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Broaddus Hospital before being transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital.Police said the building received some structural damage but should be able to remain open. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
